Patrick’s experience spans 25 years as a serial entrepreneur, venture capitalist and investment
banker and board director. He has scaled companies, raised and invested hundreds of millions of
EUR in capital and achieved very successful exits via M&A and IPO listings. He is a frequent speaker
and industry specialist on FinTech, Blockchain, Web3 and Entertainment.
Patrick Martin is the Founder and Managing Partner of European Media Finance, the investment firm
through which he invests in and advises growth stage technology companies with a strong focus on
FinTech and Blockchain and Web 3.0 businesses. Patrick’s very active investment portfolio currently
comprises ca. 30+ companies in the Web3, Play to Earn Gaming and Digital Asset space.
He currently serves on the boards of ITI Capital and Gravity Energy AG as well as an Advisory Board
Member of digital asset focused Jewel Bank (Bermuda), bitcoin mining company BitMine Immersion
Tech (SSHI) listed in the US and Digital Ledger Technology (DLTx) listed on the Oslo stock
exchange. Furthermore, he is one of the first investors and close advisor to the CEO and former
board member at Celsius Network, the world’s leading Crypto Lending and Yield Platform Celsius
Network as well as FinTech and payments platform PPRO Financial.
After graduating from law school Patrick began his career as a Media and Tech Entrepreneur, leading
his first company Helkon Media AG to an initial public offering on the German Neuer Markt in 1999
reaching a market cap of EUR 500m.
Patrick is a certified German lawyer holding a law degree from Ludwig Maximillian’s University,
Munich and is a graduate of the IMD Business School, Lausanne.
