Dereck’s senior involvement has significantly transformed the outreach and the volume of sales of multiple major projects well above levels that might otherwise have been achieved. This was achieved by masterminding the restructuring, expansion and training of sales teams; bringing clarity to the marketing messaging; and orienting the sales drive in a much better-defined direction aimed at the most prospective buyer/investor segments.

 

Real Estate Restructuring work at Bloom Holdings over 2015-2017 in the Middle East lifted the trained active e-broker network from some 40 to 275 which in-turn increased annual sales from $100m to $750m USD yearly.

Prior to that, Dereck played a key role in the success of highly-acclaimed “Al Barari” development in Dubai, where he was responsible for setting up and managing the entire sales team involving 800 active brokers at its peak and even marketing, launching and generating record holding sales of hundreds of Millions of USD within days for each individual project.

 

Over the decade of the 2000’s, Dereck worked on several multiple billion mega-resorts and was the key partner through the Plaza Naranja group, which leveraged on strong cross-linkage between several hotel chains, developers of major mixed-use projects internationally and Jet Republic, then one of the leading networks for UHNWIs centered on concierge and private jet services, amongst other. Dereck has maintained strong linkage to these networks and investor groups.

 

Over the years Dereck also has been a successful entrepreneur setting up several successful hospitality venues, telecom, blockchain & crypto related ventures.

 

Born and Raised in Curaçao and brought educated in The Netherlands and Sweden. A Master degree in Science & Business. Speaks many languages and is a true internationist and cross-culturalist, having lived and worked across the globe including South America, Africa, Europe and Asia. Dubai in UAE has been his primary residence for the last 15 years.
